Here's J.Harrop White again, enjoying the Hospital Carnival procession down Meetinghouse Lane in 1932. The Carnival was a great success, raising £5,000 (Ald. Pollard was rewarded with the Presidency of the hospital board) and another one was held in 1937 under the name "Bubblyjoc".
